In the old days, if your stomach growled while you browsed along Gastown's Cordova Street (and fries with a $3.25 pint at the Cambie Hostel were not an option), you were best to keep on shopping. Enter Brioche Urban Bakery and Catering. Open since April, Brioche is wowing the hood's hyper-stylish shopkeepers with home-made gelato and Sicilian Panninis )owner Eduardo Bilardello hails from this region). Scouting the next big thing? Brioche doubles as the unofficial outpost for chilled out actors awaiting headshots from Rocket Repro right next door. We recommend the warm roasted veggie sandwich, the lemon brioche and a babyccino on the fly-same as the original just cuter. PS. Love the pink sign.
